This year, BRIO is launching a range of dolls. Created by our specially qualifi ed dollmaker, the BRIO dolls have a specific educational profile. The dolls are easily dressed and undressed, and the possibilities will vary per age group, for the developmental training of the childrens motor skills and fantasies. The dolls are available in three sizes: 30 cm, 40 cm and 50 cm.

BRIO is generally associated with wooden toys that have a distinctive BRIO design. BRIOis now also launching a range of dolls, still with the distinctive BRIO profile. They are made from various fabric materials and can withstand rough handling by two and three-year-olds respectively. Of course rough handling also means that washing is necessary - both for the dolls and the children playing with them - so the BRIO dolls are machine washable.

An educational toy stimulates the child's development. The BRIO dolls can be dressed andundressed. The dolls for the younger age group have trousers and shoes sewn onto the body, but the sweaters and scarves can be put on and taken off. The doll for slightly older children isbarefoot, and enables children to count the toes and put on and take off clothes that have buttons or Velcro fasteners. They can even practise tying bows with the hair-ribbons. But howevereducational a toy is, BRIO still maintains that the most important aspect is how much joy a toybrings. The aim of the BRIO dolls is to stimulate spontaneous play, and bring many hours of true playing joy.
