BRIO's toys for the very youngest: Ambi Toys

For young babies there is a need for educational toys, colourful toys that are strong and durable. The contrasts of colours are particularly important for the very youngest babies, as looking at colours helps them to fi x their gaze. This year's new Ambi toys are in line with the characteristic design and quality, both as regards material durability and educational value.

Ambi toys are part of the BRIO range, and are primarily intended for the youngest babies and children up to 24 months plus. The toys are made of high-quality, brightly coloured recyclable PVC-free plastic. Ambi toys have been specially designed to fulfi l young babies' need for stimulation through play, and many of the products can be played with in the bath.

New products in 2004 include a camera that delights with a zoom and clutter sound and you will hear a giggling sound when the picture is taken. Ambi Toys is also launching Racing Shoes: a pair of gym shoes that turn into pull back racing cars. Another new item is a Melodyfl ower for children of 6 months and above, which plays well-known nursery rhymes when the petals are pressed by the metal ball, the child creates its own music.

New products are of course always crucial in the toy industry, but the classic Ambi toys should never be neglected. These include colourful play fi gures, but the toys also have functions that bring joy and surprises to any baby. The round fi shes that give off bubbles in the bathtub (Bubble Fish) are always a source of fun. Mother Duck with her three ducklings (Family Duck) safely stowed under her are ideal for playing hide-and-seek. Another fascinating bath toy is Peter Penguin, whose neck extends when he gets in the bath.
